How is a hybrid inverter different from a regular one?
A regular (grid-tie) inverter turns solar power into electricity for your home and sends the surplus to the grid. A hybrid inverter also charges and discharges a battery, so you can use the daytime surplus in the evening. If you want a battery now or later, choose a hybrid.
How many panels for a 5 kW inverter?
A 5 kW system usually needs 11–12 panels of 450W or 10–11 panels of 485W. Panels and the battery are sold separately; you’ll find everything together on the solar kit with battery page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a hybrid and a regular inverter?
A regular inverter only turns solar power into electricity for your home and the grid. A hybrid inverter also manages a battery: it charges it during the day and discharges it in the evening.
Can I add a battery later?
Yes. The hybrid inverter is designed to work with a battery, so you don’t need to replace it when you add one.
What warranty does it have?
The 5 kW hybrid inverter comes with a 5-year warranty.
How long does delivery take?
We ship from our EU warehouse in 3–5 working days.
