IllustrationThe price of a solar system with a battery is the equipment plus installation, and a grant can cover part of it. Below are our current equipment prices (September 2026), with output and grant figures for Lithuania.
Equipment price for a 5 kW system
A 5 kW system needs about 10–11 panels of 485W or 11–12 panels of 450W. The table shows both options with 11 panels.
| Equipment | 11 × JA Solar 485W | 11 × 450W |
|---|---|---|
| Panel power | 5.34 kW | 4.95 kW |
| Solar panels | €1,045 (€95 each) | €2,079 (€189 each) |
| 5 kW hybrid inverter | €890 | €890 |
| Without battery | €1,935 | €2,969 |
| 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery | €3,200 | €3,200 |
| With battery | €5,135 | €6,169 |
Equipment only. Installation, mounting rails, cables, protection devices and connection work are not included: your installer prices them for your roof.
How much electricity a 5 kW system produces
According to Lithuania’s Ministry of Energy, 1 kW of solar in Lithuania produces about 1,026 kWh a year on average. By that average, 11 panels of 485W (5.34 kW) would produce about 5,500 kWh a year, and 11 panels of 450W (4.95 kW) about 5,100 kWh. Real output depends on the roof’s direction, pitch and shading.
The ministry puts typical yearly use at about 1,200 kWh for a flat, 3,000 kWh for a small house and 5,000 kWh for a larger house.

What grid storage costs in 2026
Since 1 January 2026, households with solar in Lithuania pay for storing electricity in the grid in one of three ways (ESO): 7.26 ct for every kWh taken back, €5.03 a month for every kW of permitted generation capacity, or ESO keeps 37% of the energy sent to the grid (low voltage).
A battery doesn’t remove these fees, but every kWh you use from the battery instead of taking it back from the grid avoids the storage fee.
Grant
In the 2025–2026 APVA call, households in Lithuania received a fixed €5,012 for a 5 kW solar system with a 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery (€4,572 with another type of lithium-ion battery), provided the system exports no more than 1 kW to the grid. Applications were accepted until 30 June 2026 or until the money ran out.
A separate APVA call for households that had already installed solar without a battery (grant for up to 7 kW) ran from 9 June to 31 August 2026: €169.96 per kW if any main component was made in China or the panel efficiency was below 23%, and €220.97 per kW otherwise. The Ministry of Energy’s 2026 plan (APVA, 30 December 2025) lists a new call for solar with a battery in the third quarter, with the grant cut to €3,500. As of 6 October 2026 that call had not been announced. Check apva.lrv.lt before you buy: APVA decides whether a system qualifies.
What changes the price
Panels. The JA Solar 485W panel (€95) is cheaper and more powerful than the 450W panel (€189), so a 5 kW system with it costs about €1,000 less.
Battery. The 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery (€3,200) is the biggest cost. Without it the system starts at €1,935, and the battery can be added to the hybrid inverter later.
Installation. Depends on the roof covering, height and distance to the fuse board, so the installer quotes it.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a 5 kW solar system with a 10 kWh battery cost?
At current JEWO Solar prices the equipment costs €5,135 with 11 JA Solar 485W panels or €6,169 with 11 panels of 450W. Installation is not included.
How much does a 5 kW solar system without a battery cost?
Equipment with 11 JA Solar 485W panels and a 5 kW hybrid inverter costs €1,935, or €2,969 with 11 panels of 450W. The hybrid inverter lets you add a battery later.
How much electricity does a 5 kW solar system produce a year in Lithuania?
According to the Ministry of Energy, 1 kW in Lithuania produces about 1,026 kWh a year on average, so a 5 kW system produces about 5,100 kWh. Real output depends on the roof’s direction, pitch and shading.
Is there a grant for solar with a battery in Lithuania?
The 2025–2026 APVA call paid €5,012 for a 5 kW system with a 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery and 1 kW export; applications were accepted until 30 June 2026. The Ministry of Energy plans a new call with a €3,500 grant, but as of 6 October 2026 it had not been announced. Check apva.lrv.lt for new calls.
