IllustrationIn one order: solar panels, a 5 kW hybrid inverter and a 10 kWh LiFePO4 home battery. In Lithuania this is the same setup (a 5 kW system with a 10 kWh battery) that the 2025–2026 APVA grant for households was built around.
How the energy moves
The hybrid inverter decides where every watt goes: into the house first, the surplus into the battery, and only what is left to the grid.
What the kit includes
You add each part to the cart separately. Prices are the same as buying them one by one: the kit is for convenience, not a discount. Choose one of the two panels.

10 kWh LiFePO4 home battery
How much does a solar system with a battery cost?
Equipment at our current prices. A 5 kW system needs about 10–11 panels of 485W or 11–12 panels of 450W.
| Setup | 11 × JA Solar 485W | 11 × 450W |
|---|---|---|
| Panel power | 5.34 kW | 4.95 kW |
| Solar panels | €1,045 (€95 each) | €2,079 (€189 each) |
| 5 kW hybrid inverter | €890 | €890 |
| 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery | €3,200 | €3,200 |
| Equipment total | €5,135 | €6,169 |
Equipment only. The exact number of panels depends on your roof size, orientation and grid connection.
Why a battery pays off better in Lithuania than it used to
Since 1 January 2026 all three ways of storing electricity in the grid have become more expensive. For example, the fee per kWh you take back rose from 6.7 to 7.3 ct (ESO). The more of your solar power you use yourself, the less you pay for grid storage.
Since 19 September 2025, a system that exports no more than 1 kW to the grid can be connected without ESO technical conditions (ESO). Where the local grid is full, this is often the simplest route, and a battery lets you use the daytime surplus in the evening.
Lithuania: APVA grant for solar with a battery
In the 2025–2026 call, households received a fixed €5,012 for a 5 kW system with a 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery that exports no more than 1 kW (€4,572 with another type of lithium-ion battery). Calls open and close and the rules change, so check apva.lrv.lt before you buy. APVA decides whether a system qualifies.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a 5 kW solar system with a battery cost?
At our current prices, the equipment for a 5 kW system with a 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery costs about €5,135 (11 JA Solar 485W panels, a 5 kW hybrid inverter and a 10 kWh battery). With 11 panels of 450W: €6,169.
Can I start without the battery?
Yes. You can buy the panels and the hybrid inverter now and add the battery later. The hybrid inverter is designed to work with a battery, so you won’t need to replace it.
How long does delivery take?
We ship from our EU warehouse in 3–5 working days. There is no customs paperwork.
Will I get the APVA grant?
In Lithuania, APVA decides based on the rules of the call that is open at the time. Current information is at apva.lrv.lt.
