IllustrationEnter how much electricity you use a year. The calculator shows the system size you need, how many panels and what the equipment costs.
You’ll find your yearly usage in the ESO self-service portal or on your bills. The output figures are for Lithuania.
Based on figures from Lithuania’s Ministry of Energy: 1 kW of solar produces about 1,026 kWh a year on average, and the typical usage values come from the same source. Real output depends on the roof’s direction, pitch and shading. Prices are current JEWO Solar prices, equipment only, without installation.
How it’s calculated
System size = yearly use ÷ 1,026 kWh. Number of panels = system size ÷ panel power, rounded up. Equipment price = panels + 5 kW hybrid inverter (€890) + the battery if you tick it.
A system that produces as much as you use in a year makes more in summer and less in winter. That’s why it matters how you pay for grid storage and whether you have a battery. More in What a solar system with battery costs.
Frequently asked questions
What size solar system do I need?
Divide your yearly use by 1,026 kWh, which is what 1 kW produces a year on average in Lithuania. For example, 3,000 kWh a year needs about 2.9 kW.
Does the calculator price include installation?
No. It shows only the equipment price at current JEWO Solar prices. Your installer quotes the installation.
